Our well planted, and groomed hunting fields are home for Pheasant, Chukar and Hungarian Partridge as well as Jumbo Bobwhite Quail. Our excellent staff of guides and their trained dogs will hunt you through one of eight fields, each ranging from 50 to 70 acres. Whether it’s a morning hunt or an afternoon hunt, be assured that your guide and dog will make it a safe and most enjoyable outdoor experience.
Walk in the Woods
This venue is an exciting mix of Upland field hunting and European driven shooting for 4 to 5 guns. Hunters will be alternating between stationery and walking positions. The club has plenty of areas to choose from for this hunt. The ‘Walk in the Woods’ can get very exciting as both the beaters and hunters flush birds from the cover. This is one of the Preserves most popular events when snow starts to fall and can be booked any day of the week.
Continental Venue (Tower Shoot)
This venue consists of 10 shooting positions, which encompasses a very large circle. Each shooting position may be shared by two (2) shooters. Participants will get a chance to enjoy shooting from each position. There will be dog handlers with experienced retrievers of all types stationed outside the shooting circle, retrieving the downed birds. The bag will then be divided evenly among the shooters.
This venue offers some of the best pass shooting one could possibly experience. Mallards are released from multiple areas. This guarantees each of the eight (8) shooting positions a real barrel warming adventure. Handlers stationed 20 to 50 yards behind the line of guns will have their retrievers fetching the downed birds. There will be 3 – 5 frames at each venue depending on the number of birds being released. Members may schedule their own private event.
TMRP is very excited to announce that we have 8 spectacular areas for our Driven Pheasant venue. The line consist of 8 guns or less. These Pheasant present themselves as average to tall birds, meaning between 30 to 60 yards high over the guns. Club scheduled Drives will put from 100 to 150 Pheasant over the guns on each drive. Special areas have been developed so the beaters can work the field and the brush. This means that the birds will not go busting over the guns all at once. Members and their guests enjoy this venue and find it very sporting. Private and Corporate shoots may be arranged.
The 3,200 plus acres of Oak Ridges, topped with cedar swamps and conifer outcropping makes the Ten Mile River Preserve home for abundant White-tailed Deer and flocks of Eastern Wild Turkey. When you hunt wild there are no guarantees, but we will do our very best to get you in the proper deer stand or as close to that gobbling turkey as possible. TMRP conforms to the regulated New York State season dates, and either a NYS resident or non-resident license is required.
Our Deer management program allows only Deer that are at least six points or better (archery) or eight points or better (shotgun) with the antlers spread past the ears. We may not be able to guarantee you the biggest or best that our Preserve has to offer, but we can provide you with an environment that offers record-class opportunities, with a commitment to friendly, home-style customer service that is second to none.
Our South Texas Ranch on 5,700 acres offers our members the opportunity to score on some fantastic South Texas Whitetails and Rio Grande Turkey.
Spring and Fall Wild Turkey are both available here at TMRP and few hunting experiences can rival the excitement as a turkey approaches a hunter. Our experienced guides will give you this feeling!
Goose and Duck
Wild Duck including Mallard, Wood Duck, Green Wing, and Black Duck hunts are quite productive in our hand crafted blinds as well as Canada Geese during the migration period. Small game and predator hunts also available.
Black Bear populations are rising and the hunting season coincides with NYS White-tailed Deer season, providing great opportunities to hunt Black Bear at TMRP. If you desire to harvest a beautiful, mature Black Bear, our guides will give the best effort possible.
Varmint hunting is one of the fastest growing wild hunting sports today. With TMRP being very plentiful of wild game, there is a tremendous amount of Predators residing on the Preserve. Let one of our guides put a Coyote, Bobcat or Red Fox in front of you and it’s sure to be a hair raising, exciting adventure.
